How Do You Change Weapons in Bastion?

Picking a weapon set inside an Arsenal (Bastion Game)

You can change your weapon loadout by entering an Arsenal. You’ll usually find an Arsenal building in story levels where you can get a new weapon.

The first Arsenal you’ll stumble upon is in the Wharf District. It’ll be in the area next to where you’ll find the “Whirlwind” Secret Skill scroll. You can’t miss it, as it’s part of the tutorial.

You can also build your own Arsenal when you arrive in the Bastion. It’s one of the choices for your first building. Here’s how:

After inserting the first Core into the Monument, you’ll get a vacant lot. Interact with the foundation to build your Arsenal. After that, you can enter the building so you can change your weapons.

Wharf District

Arsenal in the Wharf District

You’ll find this Arsenal right after you get the “Whirlwind” Secret Skill. It’s also beside the first Distillery in the game.

The Narrator will urge you to enter both buildings. You can’t proceed further in the level unless you do so.

Cinderbrick Fort

The Fort’s Arsenal lies on the floor above the corridor of corn bins. It’s along the path to the Core, and it’s protected by three Yellow Turrets and a Gasfella.

Langston River

There’s an Arsenal on the pier that you crash into in the middle of the River. This area also has the level’s Core.

As you make your way to get it, you’ll be able to see the Arsenal on its own berth.

The Wild Outskirts

You’ll reach the Outskirts’ Arsenal right after your first Wallflower encounter. It’s on the leftmost side of the large open campsite area.

You should see it next to the three Pincushions that are forming a triangle.

Roathus Lagoon

This Arsenal is north of the grassy area with three Pincushion variants. The path to it lies hidden behind the tall grass. Be careful not to linger in the grass, or else the Anklegator Queen will attack you.

Point Lemaign

You’ll stumble upon this Arsenal as you make your way through Point Lemaign. It sits on a fork that’s along the route, so it’s impossible to miss.

It marks the midpoint between the automated sections of the Grand Rails.

Colford Cauldron

Arsenal beyond the dead trees in the Cauldron / Bastion

The Arsenal here is near the area that has a Pink Wallflower and four Pincushions. They’re the same enemies that drop the “Pecker Nest” memento.

You’ll have to burn through the dead trees on the bottom-right corner to get to the Arsenal.

Mount Zand

In Mount Zand, there’s an Arsenal near the spot where you’ll find the Galleon Mortar. Take the path leading east from it and you’ll see the Arsenal. It’s also next to the “Fine Gramophone” memento.

Burstone Quarry

Arsenal at the center of the Quarry / Bastion

The Quarry’s Arsenal is near the fifth switch of the level. This particular switch has a working Gasfella right across it.

You’ll see the building as you enter the next area, where there are several Blue Pincushions.

Zulten’s Hollow

You’ll get to this Arsenal quite early in Zulten’s Hollow.

You should reach it soon after destroying the second set of conductors – it’ll be at a bend on the way to the next conductor set.
