How To Get The Forgiven Reticence Sin Eater Mount (FFXIV)

The Sin Eater Mount stalking Rhalgr’s Reach (FFXIV)

The Forgiven Reticence Sin Eater mount can be acquired for 3,200 Sacks of Nuts in The Crystarium or Eulmore. You’ll get Sacks of Nuts from both Shadowbringers and Endwalker Hunts. Daily Hunt Bills, Weekly Elite Hunt Bills, or A and S Rank Hunts all reward you with a varying amount of Nuts.

The Dailies are a great source of Experience also – or to kill time while you’re waiting in queue.

As for getting the Forgiven Reticence Horn, once you’ve amassed enough Nuts then you can go to either of these NPCs:

  • Xylie (The Crystarium – Temenos Rookery, X:9 Y:10)

And the Vendors themselves actually offer a myriad of ways to spend your Nuts beyond this mount. Here’s a rundown of what else you can get:

Becoming A Hunter

The first of many in a long line of hunters / FFXIV

Hunts in later Expansions are actually rather tricky to unlock.

This is because the first Quest required starts way back in A Realm Reborn.

The first Quest “Let The Hunt Begin” is acquired from various NPCs, depending on your Grand Company. They are:

  • The Maelstrom: Trachraet (Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks – Maelstrom Command, X:13 Y:13)
  • The Twin Adders: Scarlet (New Gridania – The Adders Nest, X:10 Y:11)
  • The Immortal Flames: Mimio Mio (Ul’dah – The Steps of Nald, X:9 Y:9)

Once you’ve chatted with them, you’ll have access to ARR Hunts.

And more importantly, you can start your next step.

Clan Hunts in Heavensward will require four separate Quests. These are given by differing NPCs and have level requirements.

  • “Let the Clan Hunt Begin” is a Level 53 Quest given by Aytienne (Foundation – The Forgotten Knight, X:12 Y:11). All it requires you to do is examine the Hunt Board right next to the NPC.
  • “Better Bill Hunting” requires level 56, and you get the quest from Eustacia in the same spot. You’ll need to run downstairs and chat with Ardolain, and once again examine the Board.
  • “Top Marks” is a Level 59 Quest. Unlike the first two, this one is a bit out of the way, as you’ll head to Yloise (Idyllshire – Freewalks Roudspot, X:6 Y:6). She’ll give you the Quest, and send you back to Ardolain to once again examine the Board.
  • “Elite and Dangerous” is the final Quest, requiring Level 60. Speak with Ardolain a final time to finish up this series and you’re off to Kugane.

The next step will be unlocking the Stormblood Hunts.

Luckily these are all grabbed from the same NPC, just having separate Level requirements. There are again four Quests:

  • “One-star Veteran Clan Hunt”
  • “Two-star Veteran Clan Hunt”
  • “Three-star Veteran Clan Hunt”
  • “Elite Veteran Clan Hunt”

They require levels 61, 63, 66 and 70 respectively, and are all given by Estrild (Kugane – Shiokaze Hostelry, X:10 Y:10).

A very enthusiastic Halidor awaits you in Temenos Rookery / FFXIV

Now you’re finally set to unlock the Nutsy Clan Hunt.

The first step is to speak with Hume Lout (Crystarium – The Pendants, X:12 Y:15) to begin “Nuts To You”. You’ll need to be level 70.

Then head over to Halidor (The Crystarium – Temenos Rookery, X:9 Y:9) to finish up the Quest.

Halidor will also offer you the next three Quests required, at levels 73, 76 and 80:

  • “Two Nuts Too Nutty”
  • “How Do You Like Three Nuts”
  • “Too Many Nutters”

With that done, you’re all set to begin your grind for the Forgiven Reticence Sin Eater Mount!
