To unlock the Level 41 Normal-difficulty dungeon The Stone Vigil, you need to accept the Level 41 Main Scenario Quest (MSQ) “In Pursuit of the Past” from Alphinaud in Coerthas Central Highlands (X:12.7, Y:16.5).

This MSQ is part of the patch 2.0 Main Scenario Questline for A Realm Reborn.

  1. Accept the Level 41 MSQ “In Pursuit of the Past” from Alphinaud in Coerthas Central Highlands (X:12.7, Y:16.5).
  2. Speak with Lord Drillemont in Coerthas Central Highlands (X:12.8, Y:17.4).
  3. Meet Nathelain at Whitebrim Front in Coerthas Central Highlands (X:8.0, Y:11.2).

Detailed Unlocking Guide

The Level 41 MSQ “In Pursuit of the Past” is deep into the Patch 2.0 Main Scenario Questline for FFXIV: A Realm Reborn. You must finish every MSQ leading up to it, which can take a while.

But once that’s done, talk to Alphinaud in Coerthas Central Highlands (X:12.7, Y:16.5) to begin unlocking the dungeon.

In the main story, you and the scions are preparing to enter Stone Vigil to retrieve the airship The Enterprise.

Alphinaud will ask you to pay Lord Drillemont a visit to ensure that you’ll have his assistance in entering the keep.

Speak with Lord Drillemont in Coerthas Central Highlands (X:12.8, Y:17.4) to continue.

The Ishgardian lord will express his gratitude to you and the scions for getting rid of the heretic in the previous MSQ. He’ll also inform you that The Enterprise is indeed inside the keep.

However, while he is very much eager to let you in Stone Vigil, it has been overrun after a recent skirmish with the Dravanian Horde.

Lord Drillemont will have you and your friends clear the keep in exchange for the airship.

Speak with the Ishgardian knight Nathelain in Coerthas Central Highlands (X:8.0, Y:11.2) to continue. After a quick chat with Nathelain, Stone Vigil will be unlocked.

This dungeon requires at least a Level 41 Disciple of War or Magic job to enter and has no item level requirement.
