How To Get Grams 1-3 in Pokémon Black & White

Grams 1, 2, and 3 can all be found on Route 13, which is located in-between Lacunosa Town and Undella Town. The Grams are three key items dropped by a Wingull near an NPC on a bridge. If you return all 3 Grams then you’ll get TM89 as a reward.

But before you’re able to reach Route 13, you must first complete the main story of the game and reach the post-game. This involves defeating the Elite Four as well as Team Plasma.

Finding Wingull

Before you’re able to find the Grams, you’ll first need to find the Wingull on Route 13.

Step 1: Starting at the Lacunosa City Pokémon Center, head east through the city.

Step 2: Continue east past the staircase, then veer northwest towards the city’s exit.

Veer northeast towards the city’s exit.

Step 3: Keep east to exit onto Route 13. Turn south onto the route.

Turn south onto Route 13.

Step 4: Keep south on the route, walking through the tall grass.

Step 5: The path ahead forks in two directions. Follow the path to the right in-between the trees.

Follow the path on the right.

Step 6: Just ahead is a bridge where you’ll spot a brunette NPC and a Wingull. Speak to the NPC.

Step 7: The NPC will tell you about the three grams that Wingull lost.

We’ll start by getting Gram 2 since that’s actually closer – then we’ll go after Gram 1 and then Gram 3.

Gram 2 Location

Step 1: Gram 2 is actually the closest one to get, so it’s easier to go find this one first.

After speaking with the NPC, head south and continue onto the next bridge.

Head south across the next bridge.

Step 2: Gram 2 will be found in a Poké Ball at the end of the bridge.

Gram 1 Location

Step 1: The next closest Gram is Gram 1.

Head north and begin retracing your steps back across the bridge.

Retrace your steps and head north back across the bridge.

Step 2: After crossing both bridges and passing by the Wingull again, turn west past the trees.

Step 3: To the west is a tall staircase. Climb down these stairs and head south.

Step 4: After walking through the tall grass, turn east and begin walking along the water.

Head east and walk along the water.

Step 5: After passing under the bridge above, you’ll spot an elderly NPC standing in a small area to the north. Speak to him to receive Gram 1.

The NPC will give you Gram 1.

Gram 3 Location

Step 1: To reach Gram 3 we’ll give directions starting from the elderly NPC that gave you Gram 1.

So turn around and head south across the narrow strip of shoreline (just below the NPC).

Head south across the shore.

Step 2: Keep south across the shore, passing the beach umbrella.

Keep south past the beach umbrella.

Step 3: At the end of the shore, speak with the NPC holding a pink parasol. She’ll give you Gram 3.

The NPC at the end of the shore will give you Gram 3.

Returning All the Grams to Wingull

Step 1: Now with all Grams recovered, begin heading back towards the Wingull.

If you just picked up Gram 3 then head north across the shore.

Head north across the shore.

Step 2: Continue north past the fisherman.

Step 3: Keep north, then take the left turn past the elderly NPC.

Turn left past the elderly NPC.

Step 4: Continue walking west under the bridge.

Keep west under the bridge.

Step 5: Take the tall staircase back onto the Route’s upper level.

Take the stairs back to the upper level.

Step 6: From the top of the stairs, head east and turn towards the bridge.

Head east towards the bridge.

Step 7: Speak to the NPC to return the Grams to Wingull, and it will drop TM89 U-turn.

The Wingull will drop TM89 U-turn.
