Shadow Ball is a Ghost-type Special Attack with perfect Accuracy that deals solid damage at 80 base Power.

The move also has a 20% chance of lowering your opponent’s Special Defense by one stage. This perk pairs well with Shadow Ball, as it could potentially boost your Special damage output.

Shadow Ball’s Power ranks pretty high among other Ghost-type moves, but it can also be taught to countless other types of Pokémon.

Chandelure is easily the best Ghost-type wielder of Shadow Ball, as its 145 base Special Attack ranks among the highest in Black/White. That said, Chandelure does learn the move by level up, but not until level 53.

If you’re looking to teach Shadow Ball to a different Pokémon, then the legendary Kyurem and its 170 base Special Attack can also provide a great boost to the attack’s potential damage.
