Where To Get TM38 Fire Blast in Pokémon Black & White

Using Fire Blast in battle in Pokémon Black

TM38 Fire Blast can be bought for 70,000 Pokédollars in the Icirrus City Pokémon Center at the desk where TMs are sold. Icirrus City’s Pokémon Center can be found directly north of the city’s entrance.

But before you’re able to reach Icirrus City, you’ll need to obtain the Jet Badge from Mistralton City and make your way through Twist Mountain.

In Pokémon Black & White, Poké Marts are no longer a separate building. Instead they’re included inside Pokémon Centers.

The desk that sells items can be found to the right of the Center’s entrance.

Fire Blast Move Details
Type Fire
Category Special
Power 120
Accuracy 85
PP 5

Fire Blast is a bit of a unicorn of a move.

Amongst moves with a 120 Power rating, Fire Blast is easily the most accurate (Solar Beam has 120 Power and 100% accuracy, but takes two turns to hit).

Fire Blast also has a 10% chance of inflicting burn. The attack’s domination in battle is only limited by its low 5 PP.

This move can only be learned via level up by a handful of Pokémon, but TM38 can be taught to a wide variety of types.

Because it’s a Special move, it’s best to teach Fire Blast to a Pokémon with high Special Attack.

  • Darmanitan is a great choice, as its 140 base Special Attack is one of the highest in the game.
  • Volcarona and its 135 Special Attack is another good fit, and it learns the move at level 70 even without the TM.
