TM52 Focus Blast is located on the basement floor of Wellspring Cave. You can access this cave off of Route 3, just northwest of Striaton City.
To navigate to the basement floor you’ll need HM03 Surf.
It’s also recommended to bring a Pokémon that can use TM70 Flash too, as the basement floor is pitch-black.

Focus Blast is a Fighting-type move that fits the bill of nearly all Special-type moves – High Power and very low Accuracy.
When Focus Blast lands, it can be devastating for your opponent.
Unlike some Special moves such as Blizzard and Thunder, Focus Blast’s accuracy can’t be improved by Weather conditions. It does have a chance to lower the Special Defense of its target by one stage, but this only happens 10% of the time.
As is true for all Special moves, Focus Blast’s damage output is dependent on the user’s Special Attack stat.
- Fighting-type Keldeo makes for a great user of the move, as its base 129 Special + STAB bonus makes for dominating damage output.
- Lucario’s Special Attack isn’t as high (110 base) but it wields Focus Blast very effectively and is another solid option.
