How To Get TM82 Dragon Tail in Pokémon Black & White

Outside of the Opelucid City Gym in Pokémon Black

You will get TM82 Dragon Tail from the Gym Leader of Opelucid City after earning your Legend badge. In Pokémon Black, the leader of the Gym is Drayden. But in Pokémon White, players face off against Iris.

Either way though, before you’re able to challenge the Opelucid City Gym you’ll need to earn the Freeze Badge in Icirrus City.

After earning this badge you’ll also need to defeat Team Plasma at the Relic Castle before getting to Opelucid City’s gym leader.

Dragon Tail Move Details
Type Dragon
Category Physical
Power 60
Accuracy 90
PP 10

Dragon Tail leaves a lot to be desired as an attack.

It deals damage at only 60 base Power and has less-than-perfect Accuracy. Although it does feature a secondary effect: forcing the current target to switch out of battle with the next Pokémon in your opponent’s party.

This effect can disrupt your opponent’s strategy, but can also serve as a risk to yourself.

Without knowing the order of your opponent’s Pokémon, you could just as easily put yourself in a tough position.

Dragon Tail also has decreased Priority in battle, almost guaranteeing that you’ll move last.

Note: If Dragon Tail is used against a wild Pokémon, it has a completely different effect and will force the target to flee. Be wary of this when attempting to catch a Pokémon.

If you’d like to teach TM82 to one of your Dragon types, it’s best to use it on a strong Physical attacker like Rampardos or Haxorus.
