Where To Get TM92 Trick Room in Pokémon Black & White

Standing near the Trick Room TM inside Abundant Shrine (Pokémon Black)

TM92 Trick Room is on the ground at the Abundant Shrine. You can find this shrine only in the post-game, directly off of Route 14 located west of Undella Town.

You’ll also need Pokémon that know both HM03 Surf and HM05 Waterfall to access the TM’s exact location.

But before you can reach the Abundant Shrine you’ll need to complete the main story in B&W by defeating Team Plasma and the Elite Four.

Trick Room is one of the more popular Status moves in the game, and it’s frequently used by competitive players.

This Psychic-type move reverses priority order for five turns, allowing the slowest Pokémon to move first.

One of the more popular uses of Trick Room is to turn a bulky but slow tank into an aggressive sweeper.

Pokémon like Snorlax and Slaking will no longer be hampered by their low Speed with Trick Room – so they’d have the potential to deal massive damage over a handful of turns. Unfortunately, TM92 is only available in the post-game in B&W, so for a single-player playthrough this TM is hard to utilize to its fullest potential.

But because Trick Room is so popular in the competitive scene, many players are able to spot a potential set-up based on the makeup of a team.

A slow Pokémon is an easy giveaway for those looking to counter the move.

If you’re hoping to use Trick Room in battle, grabbing TM92 is a must. Because only Porygon-Z is able to learn the move via level-up.

Typically, Trick Room is used in the Doubles format where one Pokémon is able to set-up their teammate. However, there are a few Pokémon that are able to set themselves up efficiently with this move as well, such as Jellicent and Reuniclus.
