How To Get the Vs. Recorder in Pokémon Black & White

Outside the battle subway in Pokémon Black

You will get the Vs. Recorder from an NPC at the Battle Subway in Nimbasa City. Upon entering the Subway for the first time, an NPC will exit the building and give you the device for free.

You’ll be able to reach Nimbasa City right after defeating Gym Leader Burgh in Castelia City. Nimbasa is the next city in your journey at that point, and it’s located at the end of Route 4.

But what exactly is the Vs. Recorder?

The Vs. Recorder is a companion tool for the Battle Subway, as it allows you to record and view your previous battles. It also displays the amount of Battle Points won, as well as win/loss record for each Battle Subway line.

The Vs. Recorder is a handy tool to help monitor your progress in battle.

It can be used to record and watch your previous battles over Wi-Fi, wireless, or the Battle Subway. The Vs. Recorder can also be used to download saved video battles from players all over the globe.

The device can be very helpful for Battle Subway battles, since it allows you to keep track of the total amount of Battle Points (BP) you’ve earned. It also displays your win/loss record across all eight subway platforms.

You’ll be able to find the Vs. Recorder from the Key Items pocket in your bag.
