In Pokémon Crystal, the only way to obtain the Miracle Seed is from an NPC standing on Route 32. You can get to Route 32 by traveling south from Violet City.

But before the guy gives you the Miracle Seed, you must first defeat Violet City Gym Leader Falkner and receive the Pokémon Egg from Professor Elm’s assistant.

This is the only way to get a Miracle Seed in the game.

Prerequisites

Getting the Miracle Seed is pretty straightforward. The most difficult part is defeating Falkner, who is the first gym leader in the game.

First, you’ll need to:

  • Defeat Falkner in Violet City
  • Take the Egg from Professor Elm’s assistant

Right after you defeat Falkner and exit his gym, Professor Elm will call and tell you that his assistant is waiting for you in the Pokémon Center nearby. Talk to him and take the Egg, which will allow you to get Miracle Seed.

Getting the Miracle Seed (Step-by-Step)

From Falkner’s gym, head south until you find a path.

Keep to the right as you head south. This will lead you directly onto Route 32. There is a path that goes left, don’t take it just yet.

After keeping right, the path will narrow and head directly south. This is where you will find the NPC with the Miracle Seed.

Talk to him and he’ll give it to you for free.
