Thick Clubs – Pokémon Crystal

Thick Clubs are held by 2% of wild Cubone and Marowak in Pokémon Crystal. This is the only way to obtain this item in the game.

The best place to look for Cubone and Marowak is the Rock Tunnel connecting Cerulean City and Lavender Town in Kanto. They only come out from 4 AM to 6 PM.

You can access the Rock Tunnel through the entrances east of Cerulean City (Route 9) and north of Lavender Town (Route 10).

Getting Thick Clubs

The only way to get a Thick Club is to take it from a wild Cubone or Marowak.

Since both Pokémon inhabit the Rock Tunnel, that’s the best place to hunt for Thick Clubs.

There are two entrances to the Rock Tunnel:

• Route 9: East of Cerulean City, near a Pokémon Center.
• Route 10: North of Lavender Town.

Once you find a Cubone or Marowak, you can either use Thief on them to check for Thick Clubs or catch them and check manually.

Tip: Make sure your Pokémon isn’t holding anything when using Thief, or you won’t be able to take the Thick Club.

Thick Club Uses

The Thick Club is a held item that doubles the holder’s Attack stat. This allows them to deal more damage to enemies in combat.

Although it only works on a Cubone and Marowak.
