Kindle Road is located on One Island. To reach it, Surf directly north-east from the east side of One Island. There will be a sign on Kindle Road stating that you’re on the Route.
To access One Island, you first need to defeat Blaine and receive the Tri-Pass from Celio. If you’ve done this, then you can board the Seagallop Ferries from the Vermilion City Harbor, where the S.S. Anne was previously located.
Prerequisites
I know you want to make your way to the Ember Spa and exfoliate your pores ASAP, so there’s no time to waste.
Luckily there are only a couple of prerequisites required for reaching Kindle Road.
- Defeat Blaine on Cinnabar Island and get the Tri-Pass from Celio
- Clear the S.S. Anne
- Have a Pokémon that can use Surf (and have the Soul Badge)
By the time you’ve defeated Blaine, you’ve almost certainly cleared the S.S. Anne. But just in case you haven’t (or are using cheats), you’ll need to go ahead and do that.
After you beat Blaine and walk out of the Gym, Celio will walk up and invite you to One Island.
Celio will also give you the Tri-Pass so you can go there whenever you want from the Vermilion City Harbor (where the S.S. Anne usually is).
Getting To Kindle Road (Step-by-Step)
Step #1: Reaching One Island
If you ended up leaving One Island after Celio invited you out, you’ll need to get back there.
Once you have the Tri-Pass, head to Vermilion City and go to the harbor where the S.S. Anne used to be. Just walk south and the Sailor will stop and ask for your Tri-Pass.
After that, just select One Island and he’ll ferry you away to One Island.
Step #2: Surfing To Kindle Road
Once you’re on One Island, head to the very east coast.
You’ll need your Surf Pokémon at this point.
Kindle Road is just north from this spot. Just Surf a tad to the right, then head immediately upwards.
You’ll find Kindle Road immediately, and there will even be a handy sign letting you know that you made it.
Kindle Road is long and tiresome, so you can stop and check out the Ember Spa anytime you want to heal your Pokémon.
If you want a little more excitement in your life, you can also continue north and use Surf again to reach Mt. Ember.
Either way, you’re going to find a lot of Ponyta, Rapidash, and many other cool Pokémon – so enjoy!
