|TM02 Dragon Claw|
|1||Victory Road – North end of the 1st floor behind a movable boulder||No|
TM02 Dragon Claw can be found on the first floor of Victory Road. You’ll need to first push a boulder onto a nearby button here, and then you can grab the TM in the north-eastern side of the first floor.
But before you can reach Victory Road, you’ll need all 8 Gym Badges and you’ll need to check them all at the Indigo Plateau.
TM02 Dragon Claw Location (Step-by-Step)
Step 1: From the end of the Indigo Plateau, enter Victory Road to the north.
Step 2: From the entrance of Victory Road, you’ll spot a large boulder ahead. Head north above the boulder.
Step 3: Use HM04 Strength so that the boulder can be pushed.
Step 4: Push the boulder one space to the south.
Step 5: After pushing the boulder to the south, push it five times to the right. It should end up resting against the rock wall on the side.
Step 6: Walk down below the boulder and push it two steps up against the wall to the north.
Step 7: Once the boulder is against the wall, push it towards the right until it reaches the wall to the east.
Step 8: From the eastern rock wall, push the boulder up twice to the north.
Step 9: Now the boulder should be one step above the white button below. From here, just push the boulder once to the east, and then push it down onto the button.
Step 10: Once the boulder is covering the button, head west back towards the entrance.
Step 11: Continue west past the entrance and take the small steps ahead.
Then travel across the elevated path going towards the east.
Step 12: The elevated path leads to an NPC and two sets of stairs that fork west and east.
Take the eastern path towards the right and climb down the stairs.
Step 13: Head north from the bottom of the steps. Just ahead is another small boulder – use Strength to push this boulder three steps to the left.
The Dragon Claw TM is the item in the northern pocket of this corner in the cave. So you want to push the boulder all the way left to block the other item.
Step 14: Once the boulder is all the way to the left, you’ll be able to grab TM02 Dragon Claw from the Poké Ball on the ground to the north.
TM02 Dragon Claw Details + Uses
|Dragon Claw Move Details|
Dragon Claw is typically featured in the moveset of every Dragon Pokémon thanks to the move’s reliability.
By default, this attack will never miss because of its perfect Accuracy. And it also deals considerable damage at 80 base Power.
And here’s a fun fact:
Dragon Claw is the only Dragon-type TM that can be acquired in FRLG. And this move can only be learned through TM02 (no Pokémon will learn it via level up).
Who To Teach Dragon Claw To
Teaching this move to your best Dragon-type is a great idea, since STAB (Same-type attack bonus) elevates the move’s Power up to 120.
Dragonite is by far the best Pokémon to teach Dragon Claw to in FireRed & LeafGreen. Because its 100 Special Attack packs quite a punch already.
But outside of Dragon-types, Charizard is also a great choice for this move.
