Thunderbolt Move Details
Type Electric
Category Special
Power 95
Accuracy 100
PP 15

Thunderbolt is considered the best Electric-type attack in FRLG, and it’s absolutely worth getting onto your team.

The move offers great damage with perfect accuracy. Plus you can get multiple copies of the TM, so you can teach it to multiple Pokémon in your party.

And if this move is used by an Electric-type Pokémon, Thunderbolt’s base Power becomes 143 thanks to STAB.

Thunderbolt also has strong PP capacity with 15 starting PP. This allows the attack to be used repeatedly over the course of multiple battles.

And it gets even better:

Thunderbolt also has a 10% chance of paralyzing its target with each hit.

There are very few downsides to this move, so it’s absolutely worth using for Electric-type coverage.

Tip: Since Thunderbolt is a Special-type attack, be sure to pair it with your best Special Attackers. Magneton, Jolteon, and Zapdos are all lethal options to teach Thunderbolt thanks to their high Special Attack stats.
