TM31 Brick Break can be found in two different locations in FireRed & LeafGreen. The first chance you’ll have to grab the TM is on the S.S. Anne, which is docked at Vermilion City.

More specifically, you’ll find the TM on the ground if you travel down the entry hallway and enter the second-to-last room on the left.

Additionally, more copies of the Brick Break TM can also be purchased at the Celadon City Department Store.

But before you’re able to board the S.S. Anne, you’ll need to speak with Bill in Cerulean City to get an S.S. Ticket that grants you access onto the ship.

Power 75
Accuracy 100
PP 15

Brick Break is a Physical Fighting-type that attacks for 75 base Power with perfect Accuracy. And it also has a very useful secondary effect:

It breaks any barrier set-up with the moves Reflect or Light Screen.

Brick Break is especially useful against Screeners, which are Pokémon that rely upon the moves Light Screen and Reflect to bolster their defense.

If you’re unable to remove their defenses, then these barriers can last for at minimum five turns, which can be quite the difference in a tough battle. Brick Break neutralizes these barriers while also inflicting decent damage.

Only three Pokémon learn Brick Break via level-up in FRLG, so if you’d find this useful in your strategy then grabbing TM31 is a must.

Consider teaching it to a Fighting-type like Primeape or Machamp to get the most bang for your buck.
