1 Rooftop of Celadon City Department Store – Give the thirsty pink-haired NPC a Lemonade No

The only way to get TM33 Reflect is to get a Lemonade and give it to the pink-haired NPC on the rooftop of the Celadon City Department Store. You can do this as soon as you reach Celadon City.

But to reach Celadon City, you’ll need to clear Rock Tunnel and then take the Underground Path west of Lavender City.

The rooftop of the city’s Department Store can be reached by taking the elevator to the 5th floor, then taking the stairs to the roof.

TM33 Reflect is a Psychic-type Status move that casts a barrier and reduces incoming damage from Physical Attacks, weakening their power by 50%.

The benefits of Reflect last for 5 turns, and this effect remains in-play even if the user Pokémon is switched out.

Reflect is often used alongside Light Screen, which reduces the damage of Special Attacks.

With both screens in play, your team will have a 50% reducing in all incoming damage (not including Status damage.)

But since attack categories are mostly dependent on typing in FRLG, it can be easier to predict your opponent’s Physical attacks. All physical attacks in the game should fall under these typings:

  • Normal
  • Fighting
  • Poison
  • Ground
  • Flying
  • Bug
  • Ghost
  • Rock
  • Steel

So it’s best to use Reflect against foes who have Pokémon with moves that match those types.

Physical moves are much more common in a typical FireRed/LeafGreen playthrough, so Reflect has better widespread protection than Light Screen on average.
