The Devon Parts is a key item in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. It is unmissable and will advance the main story shortly after beating the Rustboro Gym.

This quest is split into two parts.

First you need to obtain the Devon Parts inside Rusturf Tunnel. After that, you will deliver the item to Captain Stern in Slateport City.

Obtaining the Devon Parts

The quest starts immediately after you win the Stone Badge.

A short scene will play the moment you exit the Rustboro Gym. You will see a Devon employee chasing after a Team Aqua (AS)/Magma (OR) grunt.

The grunts have some pretty easy Pokémon between levels 14-16, so these battles should not prove to be a challenge.

Once you win, the team boss Archie (AS) or Maxie (OR) will show up immediately after the battle and take the grunts back with them.

Then you’ll deliver the Devon Parts to Captain Stern, completing the quest.

With this portion of the main story done, you can continue towards Mauville City and the third badge.
