How To Get the Eon Flute in Pokémon ORAS

Soaring on Latios in Pokémon Omega Ruby

You will get the Eon Flute from Steven in Sootopolis City after catching or defeating Kyogre (AS) or Groudon (OR). This is an automatic event in the main story, which makes this key item unmissable.

You can use the Eon Flute to access the Soaring feature by riding on Latias (AS) or Latios (OR), which allows you to access Mirage Spots around Hoenn.

After obtaining the Aqua Suit or Magma Suit, you will gain access to the Cave of Origin in Sootopolis City.

You will find your version’s respective legendary Pokémon inside (Kyogre/Groudon).

Tip: Stock up on Dusk Balls if you want to catch the legendary Pokémon without using your Master Ball.

Since the battle happens inside a cave, Dusk Balls have a better catch rate (3.5x) compared to Ultra Balls (2.25x).

But once you’re inside the cave, here’s where to go to find your version’s legendary.

Step 1: Enter the Cave of Origin and head up.
