You can achieve Platinum rank by collecting 1000 Flags from other Secret Bases around Hoenn.

Capture the Flag is one of the many features Secret Bases have.

With up to 4 other friends, you can form a team to go around capturing flags from other players’ bases. You can collect a base’s flag by interacting with it near the Secret PC.

Tip: Use StreetPass and BuzzNav to find more Secret Bases around Hoenn.

The more flags you and your team collect, the higher your Secret Base Rank is. Collecting flags also earns you rewards and improves the Special Skills your Secret Pals provide.

How Does the Garchompite Work?

Mega Stones like the Garchompite are held items that allow certain Pokémon to Mega Evolve, granting them a massive boost to their base stats.

Most Mega Evolutions also change the Pokémon’s ability, which lasts until the battle concludes.

When Garchomp Mega Evolves into Mega Garchomp, it changes its ability to Sand Force, which boosts the power of Ground-type, Rock-type & Steel-type moves by 30% during a sandstorm.

Boasting an insanely high base Attack of 170 and solid defensive stats, Mega Garchomp is a force to be reckoned with.

It also has a surprisingly high Special Attack stat, allowing it to use strong Special moves like Draco Meteor effectively.

It’s a versatile Mega Evolution that can function as a bulky Physical or mixed wallbreaker.

However, Mega Garchomp loses 10 base Speed upon Mega Evolution. This can be troublesome, as it makes Mega Garchomp significantly easier to outspeed.

Tip: Mega Garchomp’s offensive capabilities are enhanced even further during a sandstorm, making it an exceptional sweeper in many Sand teams.
