How To Get the Gracidea in Pokémon ORAS

You will obtain the Gracidea from a man in the Berry Master’s house on Route 123. But you must already have Shaymin in your party before the NPC will give you this item.

The Gracidea is a key item that allows Shaymin to change from its Land form into its Sky form.

Getting the Gracidea (Step-by-Step)

Be sure to first add Shaymin to your part (using cheats is OK for this), and then fly over to Route 123.

Step 1: After arriving on Route 123, follow the light-green path and head east.

Step 2: Walk a short distance to the east until the path splits between the white picket fence. Follow this path up going through the fencing towards the house nearby.

Step 3: Keep heading north and you will arrive at the Berry Master’s house.

Step 4: Go inside the Berry Master’s house and speak with the man with the light-blue polo shirt.

Step 5: After a brief dialogue, the man will give you the Gracidea. If he doesn’t then double-check that you have Shaymin in your party.

What Does the Gracidea Do?

You can use the Gracidea to change Shaymin-Land into Shaymin-Sky.

Here’s a quick step-by-step of how it works:

Step 1: Select the Gracidea in your bag’s Key Items’ section.

Step 2: Choose Shaymin and use the Gracidea on the Pokémon.

Step 3: After using the Gracidea, Shaymin will change from the Land form into the Sky form.

In its Land form, Shaymin is a single-type Grass Pokémon with well-rounded stats.

Shaymin-Land has Natural Cure as its ability. Natural Cure heals the Pokémon’s status condition whenever the user is switched out of a battle.

Shaymin-Sky has a slightly higher Attack stat. The Sky form also has much higher Special Attack and Speed stats.

On the other hand, Shaymin-Sky has lower defensive stats.

Shaymin-Sky also gains a new ability, Serene Grace. This ability doubles the chance of a move’s secondary effect.

With Serene Grace and a wide movepool, Shaymin-Sky is always a threat to lower opposing Pokémon’s stats.

Note: Shaymin will automatically revert to its Land form during the night (8 PM – 3:59 AM). Shaymin-Sky will also change back to Shaymin-Land when deposited in a PC Box, or if it gets Frozen in battle then Shaymin-Sky will also revert to Shaymin-Land.

You will need to use the Gracidea again to change Shaymin-Land back into Shaymin-Sky.
