Where To Get the Heracronite in Pokémon ORAS

Mega Heracross in battle in Pokémon Omega Ruby

Heracross’ Mega Stone (Heracronite) can be found on Route 127. You can pick up the Mega Stone on the route’s southeastern beach area.

Route 127 is directly south of Mossdeep City, so you’ll need to have access to Mossdeep first before you can pick up the Mega Stone.

Heracronite Location (Step-by-Step)

Route 127 is a water route located directly south of Mossdeep City.

On Route 127’s southeast side, you can find a small beach area with a lone Black Belt walking around. In this spot you can pick up Heracross’ Mega Stone lying in a corner on the beach.

For a step-by-step guide of the exact location, start by flying to Route 127.

Step 1: From the Route 127 sign, turn right and get off the island by using HM03 Surf.

Is Mega Heracross Good?

Mega Stones like the Heracronite are held items that allow certain Pokémon to Mega Evolve, granting them a massive boost to their base stats.

Most Mega Evolutions also change the Pokémon’s ability, which lasts until the battle concludes.

When Heracross Mega Evolves into Mega Heracross, it changes its ability to Skill Link, which makes multi-hit moves always hit five times.

Heracross can learn the following multi-hit moves that could be worth using in its Mega Evolved state:

SCROLL
Move Name Type Power Accuracy
Arm Thrust Fighting 15 100
Bullet Seed Grass 25 100
Fury Attack Normal 15 85
Pin Missile Bug 25 95
Rock Blast Rock 25 90

And here’s another fun fact:

Mega Heracross has the second-highest base Attack in the game, next to Mega Mewtwo X.

It also has impressive defensive stats to go along with its gargantuan Attack stat, making it an excellent wallbreaker.

But Skill Link makes Mega Heracross even more deadly. With reliable moves like Bullet Seed, Pin Missile, and Rock Blast, even Pokémon holding a Focus Sash aren’t safe.

However, it does have a glaring x4 weakness to Flying-types. Mega Evolving also lowers its Speed by 10, making it very easy to outspeed.
