How To Get the Meteorite in Pokémon ORAS

You will obtain the Meteorite after battling Team Aqua’s/Magma’s boss atop Mt. Chimney, just off of Route 112. This battle is part of the main story, making the Meteorite an unmissable key item.

But in order to get the Meteorite, you must clear the following requirements:

Beat the Mauville Gym.
Rescue Professor Cozmo in Meteor Falls.

Obtaining the Meteorite (Step-by-Step)

After rescuing Professor Cozmo, your rival will take you back to Mauville City. Then head over to the city’s north exit and make your way to Route 112 to get started.

Step 1: Head west from Route 112’s entrance, following the dirt path.

Step 2: Keep walking along the dirt path heading west, then turn north towards a set of stairs.

Step 3: Continue heading north and up the stairway.

Step 4: At the top of the stairs, turn right and head northeast to Mt. Chimney’s cable car station.

Step 5: Inside the building, speak to the attendant on the left side.

Select “Yes” and board the cable car.

Step 6: Exit the station and head northeast to reach the stairs on the top-right corner.

Step 7: Climb up the five sets of stairs here, then turn left. You will run into Maxie (AS) or Archie (OR) battling a trio of grunts.

Step 8: After the short cutscene, head past the group and turn northwest.

Tip: Make sure to heal your team first, as you are about to battle a grunt.

Step 9: Keep heading forward and you will run into the evil team’s grunt. His Pokémon aren’t particularly strong, so this should be an easy battle.

Step 10: Move forward along the path and you will run into the evil team’s admin. This is also an easy battle, but once again, heal your team before advancing.

Step 11: After the battle ends, head to the end of the glass platform and you will run into Archie (AS)/Maxie (OR).

Regardless of which game you’re playing, the evil team’s leader has a level 25 Mightyena, a level 25 Golbat, and a level 27 Sharpedo/Camerupt.

Step 12: Win the battle and he will give you back the stolen Meteorite.

After recovering the Meteorite, you will be able to continue the main story from here.

You’d simply head back to the path you came from, then take the gate going down that’s next to the cable car station. This will bring you to Lavaridge Town.
