Quick Balls can only be obtained in 2 ways in Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire. The most reliable way to obtain Quick Balls is by purchasing them from the Fallarbor Poké Mart for 1000 Pokédollars each.

Or you can also obtain Quick Balls by defeating Poké Maniac Steve in a rematch on Route 114.

Rematches can be initiated through the Trainer’s Eye function on the PokéNav Plus. Unfortunately, the chances of receiving a Quick Ball as a reward for defeating him are only 20%.

Method #1: Fallarbor Town Poké Mart

Fallarbor Town is a small town located in northwest Hoenn. You can first get here after you use Rock Smash on the breakable rocks blocking the path on Route 111.

The Fallarbor Poké Mart, located directly south of the town’s Pokémon Center, is where you can purchase Quick Balls for 1000 Pokédollars each.

Simply speak to the top clerk in the back of the Mart to buy Quick Balls, as well as other special Poké Balls such as Dive Balls and Dusk Balls. They all sell for the same price.

Method #2: Rematch with Poké Maniac Steve

The AreaNav is a feature of the PokéNav Plus, which displays the map of the Hoenn Region.

Upon selecting the map, you will see various tabs, including the Trainer’s Eye tab.

This tab allows you to locate specific trainers across Hoenn who are ready for a rematch, indicated by a “Battle Ready” sign next to their profile.

If you’re lucky, defeating rematchable trainers may net you an item as a reward. Poké Maniac Steve is one such trainer, and has a 20% chance of giving you a Quick Ball when you defeat him in a rematch.

Poké Maniac Steve can be found on the south side of Route 114, near the stairs that lead to Meteor Falls’ exterior.

To start the rematch you just have to talk to him. But make sure to check the Trainer’s Eye tab on Route 114 first to see if he’s available for a rematch.

If he is, fly on over to Route 114 and get ready to battle. Here’s how to find his exact location:

Step 1: Begin by crossing the bridge and following the path to the south.

Step 3: Finally, take a slight left turn towards the raised rocky platform and speak with Poké Maniac Steve – you’ll see him wearing a maroon shirt with dark hair.

How Do Quick Balls Work?

Quick Balls are most effective when used during the first turn when you encounter a wild Pokémon, and they offer 5x catch rate modifier.

However, on the second turn and beyond, their catch rate modifier drops down to 1x.

Here’s a table that compares the catch rate modifiers and prices of other frequently-used Pokéballs:

Type of Pokéball Catch Rate Modifier Price
Pokéball 1x 200
Great Ball 1.5x 600
Ultra Ball 2x 1200
Quick Ball (used on the first turn) 5x 1000
Quick Ball (on turns 2+) 1x 1000
