You can only get Sharp Beaks by taking them from wild Doduo or wild Fearow. Between these two Pokémon, Fearow is the easier one to farm for Sharp Beaks. But to find either Pokémon you’ll first need to have obtained the National Pokédex.
Fearow appear in multiple locations (on Routes 225, 226, 227, and Stark Mountain) so they’re far more prominent than wild Doduo. This is because Doduo will only show up during a mass outbreak, which is a highly unpredictable phenomenon that’s harder to control for.
As for the item itself: the Sharp Beak is a held item that boosts the power of Flying-type moves by 20%.
Acquiring Sharp Beaks
Every Doduo and Fearow you encounter in the wild has a 5% chance of carrying a Sharp Beak as its held item.
Fearow is usually the easier Pokémon to find though, since Doduo can only be found during a mass outbreak.

Fearow has a high encounter rate and can be found at any time across the northern Battle Zone area.
The likelihood that either Pokémon will be holding a Sharp Beak is 5%.
But you can vastly raise the odds by putting together a dedicated item-farming team, which utilizes the Abilities Frisk and Compoundeyes to streamline the process.
Once you’ve found a Fearow or Doduo holding a Sharp Beak, either catch the Pokémon, or use a stealing move like Thief or Trick to take the item.
Then end the battle however you prefer; you will keep the Sharp Beak even if you flee.
Sharp Beak Details and Uses
The Sharp Beak is a held item that boosts the power of Flying-type moves by 20%.
As with most items that boost the power of a single type, the Sharp Beak is eclipsed by stronger held items like the Choice Band and the Life Orb.
With that said, the Sharp Beak is more useful than many similar single-type enhancing items in the game.
Flying-type Pokémon tend to be a little more fragile than others—they often aren’t equipped to handle disadvantages like Life Orb’s HP drain or the move-locking curse of Choice items.
This makes a free 20% boost much more appealing, especially to flying-types that typically enjoy a high Attack stat.
One of the best Pokémon to give a Sharp Beak to is Crobat. With its respectable Attack stat, extremely high Speed, and an excellent collection of resistances, a Crobat coming right out of the gate with a boosted Brave Bird attack could very easily ruin someone’s day.
