How To Get TM34 Shock Wave in Pokémon Platinum

TM34 Shockwave Location on Route 215 (Pokémon Platinum)

The only copy of TM34 Shock Wave is located behind a couple of small trees on Route 215, just a short distance west of Veilstone City.

Since this area is only accessible from cutting a tree, HM01 Cut is required to remove the trees and pick up the TM.

Shock Wave is a damage-dealing, Electric-type special move that has perfect accuracy.

Unless the target Pokémon is in a semi-invulnerable state, such as in the first phases of Dig or Fly, Shock Wave will bypass all accuracy checks and land every time.

So it’s definitely a great move to use for this point in the game.

Tip: If used in a Pokémon Contest in the Cool category, Shock Wave will generate two appeal points, plus two bonus appeal points if it’s the first move used in a turn.
