Cake is one of the many desserts that you can make in Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town. And you can easily bake Cake in any season because the ingredients needed for it are available year-round!

Where To Learn the Recipe

Once you reach 8 friendship notes (at least 200 friendship points) with Anna, you can unlock her Confectionaries Class which is held at Basil’s house on Saturdays.

Anna invites the farmer to join her Confectionaries Class.

Here are the requirements to unlock the first cooking event:

It is anytime between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM on a Saturday
The weather is Sunny
The farmer has spoken to both Anna and Manna in the last season
Both Anna and Manna are inside Basil’s house

After completing the first class, you can come back every Saturday to Basil’s house to learn more recipes. Anna will teach you six recipes in total: Cake, Cookies, Pudding, Cheesecake, Apple Pie, and Ice Cream.

Anna will demonstrate the recipe for Cake on your first ever visit.

Anna teaches the farmer how to make Cake.

Alternatively, you can also learn the recipe for Cake through cooking inspiration.

Cooking inspiration is something that happens automatically as you make dishes with different ingredients. Once you’ve cooked with an ingredient a certain number of times, you can unlock a new recipe that uses the same item.

The farmer gets inspired to bake Cake while in the kitchen.

To learn the recipe for Cake, you need to cook with the following ingredients:

The farmer buys Wheat Flour from Jeff at the General Store.

Equipment Needed

The equipment needed to make Cake can be bought from Jeff at the General Store.

The downside is that Jeff sells his kitchen equipment one by one, in 10-day intervals after you buy the first of Gotts’ house remodeling upgrades.

This means that you can only access the next piece of equipment 10 days after the previous one becomes available for purchase.

Ingredients Needed

If you want to make Cake, you need to have mature chickens on your farm so you can harvest Eggs regularly. Cows are also a must, so you can make Butter!

Cake Uses

The farmer eats a slice of Cake to restore stamina while harvesting crops.

As Food

Cake can be consumed by the farmer to restore a moderate amount of stamina. However, it does not offer any fatigue recovery.

How To Sell Cake

Any dishes made in your kitchen can’t be shipped through Zack and the Shipping Bin. However, you can start selling food to Huang once you become friends with him at 4 friendship notes.

To sell a dish to Huang, stand in front of his counter while holding the item. Don’t interact directly with his sprite, as it will register as a gift instead.
