Chestnuts are one of the items you can forage in Autumn in Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town. You can eat them to increase your stamina, or save them to use in a couple recipes (Chestnut Rice and Roasted Chestnuts).

Where To Find Chestnuts

Chestnuts are only forageable during Autumn, where you can find them in two different areas on Mother’s Hill. We’ve listed both locations below and marked them on the town map:

Hill Path – the path and bridge leading to the Summit
Meadow – the area to the left after crossing the bridge above Mother’s Lake

New Chestnuts will respawn almost every day during Autumn, so make sure to visit both spots on Mother’s Hill whenever you’re in the area.

Chestnuts Uses

As Food

Chestnuts can be consumed by the farmer to restore a small amount of stamina. However, it does not offer any fatigue recovery.

Selling Chestnuts

Chestnuts can be sold to either Zack or Huang for around 50 G.

Shipping Bin

To sell Chestnuts to Zack, simply drop them into the Shipping Bin and wait for him to pick them up at 5:00 PM every day.

The farmer drops a Chestnut into the Shipping Bin.

Selling Chestnuts via the Shipping Bin will count towards the list of shippable items you need to achieve for full completion.

This is important because shipping all possible items is a requirement for marrying either Kappa or the Harvest Goddess. You can track your progress by checking the Shipping List on your bookshelf.

Huang’s Shop

You can also choose to bring your Chestnuts over to Huang.

To sell to Huang, hold the item in your hands and interact with him over the counter.

The farmer sells Chestnuts to Huang.

He will actually pay you a higher price for forageables that are not in season. For Autumn forageables, you’ll get an additional 12.5% during Spring and 10% in the Summer and Winter.
