Copper is one of the ores that you can get in the Spring Mine. They don’t sell for much on their own, but you can use them to upgrade your tools.

How To Get Copper Ores

Copper Ores can only be found by breaking rocks with your Hammer in the Spring Mine. But it’s a fairly common ore, and it’s available on every floor.

So just keep digging in the Spring Mine until you finally find some Copper!

Note that Copper can be found on all levels of the Spring Mine. You don’t need any upgraded tools to get Copper either.

Copper Uses

Upgrading Tools

Copper tools are the first upgrade you can get for all of your tools to make them more efficient.

For example, with a Copper Sickle you can reap crops 1×3 squares ahead of you instead of only 1 square directly in front of you.

Here are the requirements you need for each Copper Tool Upgrade:

10% experience with an Iron tool
1,000 G
One Copper Ore

Once you gain enough experience with a tool, you’ll get a message telling you that you can upgrade that tool at the Forge.

Keep in mind that once you ask Saibara to upgrade one of your tools, you won’t be able to use it until he’s done and you pick it up from him at the Forge.

Gifting Copper

Surprisingly, quite a few villagers in Mineral Town like to receive Copper.

Selling Copper

Copper can be sold to either Zack or Huang for 15 G.

To sell your Copper to Zack, simply drop your ores into the Shipping Bin and wait for him to pick them up at 5:00 PM every day.

The farmer drops Copper into the Shipping Bin.

Selling your Copper via the Shipping Bin will count towards the list of shippable items you need to achieve for full completion.

Shipping all possible items is a requirement for marrying Kappa or the Harvest Goddess. You can track your progress by checking the Shipping List on your bookshelf.
