Diamonds are a classic gem that you can mine in Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town. Surprisingly, they can be found even in the early levels of the Lake Mine.

How To Get Diamonds

Gems like Diamonds can only be found in the Lake Mine by breaking rocks with your Hammer. Just keep digging until you finally find a Diamond!

They can usually be found on levels ending with the number 0, and all floors after Level 201.

You’re more likely to find a Diamond if the floor level is made up of 3 digits or more (110, 160, 240, etc).

The farmer finds a Diamond in the Lake Mine.

Upgrading the Hammer to the Cursed/Blessed or Mythic level can allow you to charge it and simultaneously break all the boulders on the map, saving you a lot of time.

Remember that you can only access the Lake Mine during Winter, when Kappa’s lake freezes over.

In later stages of the game, though, you can find a Travel Stone on Level 255 of the Spring Mine which allows you to instantly teleport anywhere in Mineral Town.

Diamond Uses

In Recipes

Diamonds can be used to craft a Winter Sun, which sells to Huang for anywhere between 80,000 G and 170,000 G.

The farmer holds up a Winter Sun in front of Kappa’s Lake.

Selling Diamonds

Diamonds can be sold to either Zack or Huang for 100 G.

To sell your Diamond to Zack, simply drop your gems into the Shipping Bin and wait for him to pick them up at 5:00 PM every day.

The farmer drops a Diamond into the Shipping Bin.

Selling your Diamond via the Shipping Bin will count towards the list of shippable items you need to achieve for full completion.

This is important because shipping all possible items is a requirement for marrying either Kappa or the Harvest Goddess. You can track your progress by checking the Shipping List on your bookshelf.
