The recipe for French Fries comes as a rare event in Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town. The best time to cook this dish would be in the Spring when you can grow all of the ingredients you need right on your farm!

Where To Learn the Recipe

You can get the recipe for French Fries by fishing in the Ocean with a Mithril Fishing Rod in the Spring. You have a chance of catching a Letter in a Bottle, which holds the recipe.

The Fishing Rod can be obtained from Zack at his beach house at the very start of the game. To upgrade it, visit Saibara at the Forge with the following requirements checked:

Mithril Ore
100% Fishing Rod experience

Upgrading to the Mithril Fishing Rod will allow you to catch Small, Medium, and Large Fish – as well as rare items like the French Fries recipe!

Requirements

The farmer harvests Potatoes from a field in the Spring.

Equipment Needed

The equipment needed to make French Fries can be bought from Jeff at the General Store.

The downside is that Jeff sells his kitchen equipment one by one, in 10-day intervals after you buy the first of Gotts’ house remodeling upgrades.

This means that you can only access the next piece of equipment 10 days after the previous one becomes available for purchase.

Ingredients Needed

You only need two ingredients to make French Fries: Potatoes and Oil. These are easily accessible ingredients in the game, so you can cook as many servings of French Fries as you want!

How To Sell French Fries

Any dishes made in your kitchen can’t be shipped through Zack and the Shipping Bin. However, you can start selling food to Huang once you become friends with him at 4 friendship notes.

To sell a dish to Huang, stand in front of his counter while holding the item. Don’t interact directly with his sprite, as it will register as a gift instead.

Huang will then offer you a price, which you can actually reject for a chance at getting him to bid higher.

The price range for French Fries is anywhere between 148 G and 157 G. If Huang offers you 152 G for the item, for example, you can turn him down and try again to get a higher price.
