Gotts’ Workshop + All Farm Upgrades (SoS: FoMT)

Gotts is a laid-back resident of Mineral Town that resides in his Workshop south of the village. He lives there with his apprentice Brandon.

And Gotts’ Workshop is where you’ll be able to buy all the upgrades for your house, farm buildings, and field levels.

His workshop is open from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM from Monday to Wednesday. On Sundays, Thursdays, and Fridays, he will only be inside until 1:00 PM.

Gotts’ Workshop is always closed on Saturdays, but he will keep the shop open during holidays and festivals.

Gotts’ Shop Inventory

Gotts’ basic inventory is basically just resources, trees, and furniture.

You can buy some right from the start of the game, and others will become available as you achieve certain in-game goals.

All House Renovations

The farmer stands in the middle of the Big House.

There are two total farmhouse renovations in the game.

The first is the Slightly Bigger House renovation, which will give you access to the kitchen and window upgrades.

Then the Big House renovation unlocks extra furniture, customized mailboxes/wallpaper/flooring, and makes you eligible for marriage to one of the other villagers.

All Farm Building Renovations

Buying a Silo upgrade from Gotts.

These building upgrades are essential if you want to keep more animals on the farm and store their feed more efficiently.

The Coop and Barn upgrades will double the number of animals that they can house. And then the Mill and Silo upgrades allow you to store more food for Winter.

Field Levels

The farmer buys a field upgrade from Gotts.

Fertilizer is not a mechanic in Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town, so the best way to boost your crop quality is to raise the field levels of your farm.

With each upgraded field level you’ll get a higher chance of harvesting higher quality crops. And you’ll earn more profit from your crops as the years go by.

You can purchase one field level upgrade from Gotts each year, starting in Year 2.
