Mochi (Story of Seasons: FoMT)

Mochi is a prized ingredient used in many dessert recipes in Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town.

There are only two ways to obtain Mochi in the game, and you only have a limited window of 5 days to get it.

On Spring 1st, you can attend the Mochi Bonanza Festival to get a prize of 9 pieces of Mochi.
And from Spring 1st-5th, the Harvest Goddess hosts an exclusive game show you can play via your TV. The special rewards for winning are Mochi and Buckwheat Flour.

Method #1: Mochi Bonanza Festival

Any time between 6:00 PM and 10:00 PM on Spring 1st, enter Roze Plaza to attend the Mochi Bonanza Festival.

The player attends the Mochi Bonanza Festival.

Find Mayor Thomas in the crowd and speak to him to start the Mochi pounding session.

After a short cutscene, you’ll wake up the next morning on your farm with 9 pieces of Mochi in your backpack.

Method #2: Harvest Goddess New Year Game Show

To start off the New Year, the Harvest Goddess will host a special game show on the Entertainment Channel every day from Spring 1st-5th.

The Harvest Goddess appears on the TV for the New Year’s Game Show.

She will show you a random number from 0-9, and you have to guess if the next number will be lower or higher based on luck.

Depending on your high score, you can win either Mochi or Buckwheat Flour at the end of each game.

You have 5 chances per day to play the game and win, which means that you can get up to 25 pieces of Mochi to use for the rest of the year – but you’ll definitely need luck on your side here.
