Paella is a great rice-and-vegetable dish that you can make in Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town. The best time to cook Paella is in Summer because you can grow most of the ingredients needed for it all season long.

Where To Learn the Recipe

Cooking inspiration is something that happens automatically as you make dishes with different ingredients. Once you’ve cooked with an ingredient a certain number of times, you can unlock a new recipe that uses the same item!

The farmer gets inspired to cook Paella while in the kitchen.

To learn the recipe for Paella, you need to cook with the following ingredients:

Onion	5 dishes
Tomato	5 dishes

The quality of the ingredients you use can reduce the number of times you need to cook with that item. You can check the quality by looking at how many stars the ingredient has.

For each additional star that an ingredient has, the number of times you need to cook with it decreases by a factor of 1.

If a recipe states that you have to cook with Onions 5 times to unlock it, you can make any dish with 1-star Onions 5 times. But if you have 2-star Onions, you only need to cook with them around 2 or 3 times.

Likewise, 5-star Onions will unlock the recipe after only 1 use.

Requirements

The farmer buys Onigiri from Jeff at the General Store.

Equipment Needed

The equipment needed to make Paella can be bought from Jeff at the General Store.

The downside is that Jeff sells his kitchen equipment one by one, in 10-day intervals after you buy the first of Gotts’ house remodeling upgrades.

This means that you can only access the next piece of equipment 10 days after the previous one becomes available for purchase.

Ingredients Needed

All of the ingredients needed for Paella can be grown in the Summer, or bought in bulk at the General Store. This makes Paella an excellent dish for keeping on hand to restore energy, or for gifting to the villagers!

Paella can be consumed by the farmer to restore a moderate amount of stamina. However, it does not offer any fatigue recovery.

How To Sell Paella

Any dishes made in your kitchen can’t be shipped through Zack and the Shipping Bin. However, you can start selling food to Huang once you become friends with him at 4 friendship notes.

To sell a dish to Huang, stand in front of his counter while holding the item. Don’t interact directly with his sprite, as it will register as a gift instead.
