Poison Mushrooms are one of the items you can forage during Autumn in Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town.

Unlike regular Mushrooms, these poison variants can’t be eaten to regain stamina. So they’re best used as gifts for certain villagers, or as early-game items to sell for money.

Where To Find Poison Mushrooms

Poison Mushrooms are only forageable during Autumn, where you can find them in different areas across town.

Although there are a few spawn locations, the most reliable place to find Poison Mushrooms is in the Church Forest. This is unlocked via the Church’s back door when you reach 8 friendship notes with Carter.

But there are actually 4 total locations where you can find these mushrooms. We’ve listed every location below and marked each of them on the town map:

Church Forest – behind Carter’s secret door in Mineral Church
Hill Path – the path and bridge leading to the Summit
Secret Forest – in the center of Mineral Town
South Forest – below your farm, near Gotts’ workshop

New Poison Mushrooms will respawn almost every day during Autumn, so make sure to visit whenever you’re in the area.

Poison Mushroom Uses

As Food

Poison Mushrooms are not worth eating, and they’ll cause a large stamina debuff when consumed. However, it will not affect the player’s fatigue.

Gifting Poison Mushrooms

The farmer gives Basil a Poison Mushroom.

Selling Poison Mushrooms

Poison Mushrooms can be sold to either Zack or Huang for around 50 G.

Shipping Bin

To sell Poison Mushrooms to Zack, simply drop them into the Shipping Bin and wait for him to pick them up at 5:00 PM every day.

The farmer drops a Poison Mushroom into the Shipping Bin.

Selling Poison Mushrooms via the Shipping Bin will count towards the list of shippable items you need to achieve for full completion.

This is important because shipping all possible items is a requirement for marrying either Kappa or the Harvest Goddess. You can track your progress by checking the Shipping List on your bookshelf.

Huang’s Shop

You can also choose to bring your Poison Mushrooms over to Huang.

To sell to Huang, hold the item in your hands and interact with him over the counter.

The farmer sells Poison Mushrooms to Huang.

He will actually pay you a higher price for forageables that are not in season. For Autumn forageables, you’ll get an additional 12.5% during Spring and 10% in the Summer and Winter.
