Purple Grass is one type of colored grass that can be used in various recipes and beverages. This specific grass can only be harvested during Summer as a forageable item, or as a random drop by using the Sickle on grass or weeds in your field.

Where To Find Purple Grass

Purple Grass can only be found growing on Mineral Beach. To get to the Beach, head east from the town square and go down the stairs.

New Purple Grass will respawn almost every other day during the Summer, so make sure to check whenever you’re in the area.

Sometimes using the Sickle to clear the weeds on your farm will also yield a specific colored grass depending on the season. Purple Grass will drop from the debris if you’re lucky!

As Food

Purple Grasses are not worth eating, because they will cause a small stamina debuff when consumed. It will also increase the player’s fatigue.

Selling Purple Grass

Purple Grass can be sold to either Zack or Huang for around 40 G.

Shipping Bin

To sell Purple Grass to Zack, simply drop it into the Shipping Bin and wait for him to pick it up at 5:00 PM every day.

The farmer drops Purple Grass into the Shipping Bin.

Selling Purple Grass via the Shipping Bin will count towards the list of shippable items you need to achieve for full completion.

This is important because shipping all possible items is a requirement for marrying either Kappa or the Harvest Goddess. You can track your progress by checking the Shipping List on your bookshelf.

Huang’s Shop

You can also choose to bring your Purple Grass over to Huang.

To sell to Huang, hold the item in your hands and interact with him over the counter.

The farmer sells Purple Grass to Huang.

He will actually pay you a higher price for forageables that are not in season. For Summer forageables, you’ll get an additional 10% during Winter and 20% in the Spring.
