The Sickle is a tool that you can use to collect Fodder from wild grass. It can also be used to remove weeds (debris) and crops from the farm.
Note that if you use the Sickle on any growing plants, it will not harvest the crop, and will instead destroy the entire plant.
This guide covers all the ways to use the Sickle in Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town, and how to upgrade it at the Blacksmith’s Forge for maximum efficiency.

How To Use the Sickle
The best way to use the Sickle is to use it on the wild grass that grows on your farm. It gives you an arbitrary amount of Fodder to feed the barn animals with.
Each swing of the basic Sickle will cost you 2 STA.

Sometimes you can even find colored grass alongside the Fodder as you go along.
Some of these grasses are valuable and can be used in recipes!

Note: Using the Sickle on a weed will not result in any drops, and the debris will simply disappear from the farm.
All Sickle Upgrades
Upgrading the Sickle will expand the range of each swing. This is definitely useful because it will cut down on the amount of time spent on harvesting crops and grass.

After you’ve successfully claimed your upgraded Sickle, hold the action button to “charge” and use it with more power.
Here’s a full list of every upgrade for the Sickle, what each upgrade offers, and the required money & materials you’ll have to pay to get each upgrade.
