SoS: FoMT Special Apples Recipe Guide (AEPFE, HMSGB, and SUGDW)

Special Apples are introduced in the game as regular Apples that Huang tries to sell to you for 500 G apiece. He refers to them as AEPFE, HMSGB, and SUGDW Apples.

Later on, you can actually make these Special Apples in your kitchen.

However, you will need certain Special Apples to use as ingredients in the Special Apple recipes. Huang will visit your farm on the 4th of every season and offer his Special Apples as long as you meet the following requirements:

It is between 6:00 AM and 12:00 PM
The weather is not stormy
You have 4 friendship notes (100 FP) with Huang
You have more than 500 G in their wallet
There is at least one available space in your Bag

Huang offers to sell the farmer Special Apples at an inflated price during his Merchant Visit.

Where To Learn the Recipes

Cooking inspiration is something that happens automatically as you make dishes with different ingredients. Once you’ve cooked with an ingredient a certain number of times, you can unlock a new recipe that uses the same item!

The farmer gets inspired to cook a Special Apple while in the kitchen.

To learn the recipe for all the Special Apples, you need to cook with the following ingredients:

Recipe Requirements

The farmer harvests Apples from the fruit trees on the farm in Autumn.

Ingredients Needed

To make a Specialty Apple, you’ll need three Apples in total: one regular Apple and one each of the other Specialty Apples that Huang sells.

This means that if you want to make an AEPFE Apple, for example, you’ll need the other two (HMSGB and SUGDW Apples) to complete the recipe.

Uses for Special Apples

The farmer participates in Huang’s Dropped Apple event.

As Food

Special Apples can be consumed by the farmer to restore a minimal amount of stamina. But they do not offer any fatigue recovery.

How To Sell Special Apples

Special Apples aren’t technically classified as a recipe dish, so you can ship them via the Shipping Bin like any regular item.

The farmer drops an HMSGB Apple into the Shipping Bin.

But you can also sell Special Apples to Huang once you become friends with him at 4 friendship notes.

To sell an item to Huang, speak to him in front of his counter while holding the item. Don’t interact directly with his sprite, as it will register as a gift instead.

The farmer stands in front of Huang’s counter while holding a SUGDW Apple.

But since Special Apples are regular items, you won’t be able to haggle the prices with Huang. He will offer you the same price that you would typically earn from shipping the item instead (49 G).
