SoS: FoMT Van Gifts & Friendship Guide

Van is Mineral Town’s traveling merchant that visits every Wednesday. He will start to show up after you unlock him as a reward from the Harvest Goddess. More specifically, you must offer a total of 30 gifts to the Harvest Goddess before you can first meet Van.

Van does not celebrate his birthday in Mineral Town, so he technically has no birthday that’s relevant for gift giving.

But everything you need to befriend Van can be found in this guide.

Schedule

The farmer stands in front of Van as he walks to his stall in Rose Plaza.

Van only visits on Wednesdays and the 15th of every season. You can visit him at his shop in the middle of Rose Plaza to buy pets!

As you continue to raise your friendship points with Van, you can unlock townsfolk events that allow you to get to know him better.

Unlike marriage candidates, you aren’t really required to respond with specific dialogue in order to gain their favor.
