Buck’s Lair of Wonders is a unique spirit house that you can build in Spiritfarer.
As Buck’s home, it’s the only spirit house that will never be empty, since Buck himself will actually accompany Stella until the end.
How To Unlock
To unlock Buck’s Lair of Wonders, let’s start by recruiting Buck himself.
Here’s a quick overview of how to do that:
Step 1: Get the Bounce Ability from the Oxbury Shrine (X: 233, Y: 18) for two obols. The Double Jump ability should help too but isn’t required.
Step 2: After getting the abilities, sail to Hikarishima Lighthouse (X: -137, Y:-14) near the map’s central region.
Step 3: Head left and use Bounce on the parasol beside the relaxing spirit. This will help you reach the cliff with the lighthouse.
Step 4: After reaching the lighthouse, you’ll find Buck at the top, who will automatically join you on your ship.
Once Buck is onboard, his first request will be to build the Buck’s Lair of Wonders.
To do this you will first need to purchase the blueprints from the shop at Edgeborough Lane (X: 192, Y: -105) before building the spirit house itself.
Function
Once built, Buck’s Spirit House works like previous ones on the ship.
Buck will sleep here at night, and his event Shadow Steel Orcs can be triggered via the board game inside.
Buck himself will not leave the ship until the game ends, so the Lair of Wonders will never be empty.
Also, the Lair of Wonders also has its own set of unlockable improvements, although none of these are strictly required to finish Buck’s questline.
