Shrimp Tempura is a small-sized exotic dish in Spiritfarer. Its ingredients include one bag of flour and one shrimp, and you’ll need the Improved Kitchen upgrade as well.
What You Need
For this exotic dish, make sure you have these:
- Improved Kitchen
- 1 Shrimp (Any Kind)
- 1 Flour (Any Kind)
You can get the kitchen improvement blueprint from Atul’s “Big Stove” request. Getting this upgrade lets you cook dishes with two ingredients.
How To Get Shrimp

There are two types of shrimp you can use for this recipe:
- Bay Shrimp
- Black Tiger Shrimp
Bay Shrimps can easily be caught at any time in the Furogawa region. Meanwhile, Black Tiger Shrimps are caught in the Hummingberg and Oxbury regions during noon and midnight.
To catch them, all you need to do is sit in the stern of your ship to start the fishing minigame.
Just make sure to alternate between reeling (when the line is yellow) and letting go (when the line is red) until you eventually get your catch.
How To Get Flour

With flour, you need to start by first choosing a type of grain to plant.
Here are the choices you have:
- Rice (70 Glims, Furogawa Shop)
- Wheat (100 Glims, Oxbury Shop)
- Corn (50 Glims, Hummingberg Shop)
Once you buy your seeds, plant the seeds in your Field until you can harvest them.
Then simply take them to the Windmill to start a short minigame. Here are the steps on how to use the Windmill:
- Place grains in the mid-level compartment.
- Interact with the square column at the top floor and align it with the small wheel.
- Once the wheel starts spinning, adjust the square column accordingly.
- Get your flour from the Windmill’s bottom compartment.

How To Make Shrimp Tempura

Take your ingredients to the kitchen and put them in the oven.
A timer will pop up, and your shrimp tempura will be ready once smoke comes out of the oven. However, note that too much smoke means the dish may already be burnt, so definitely keep an eye on the timer and don’t let your ingredients overcook.
Shrimp Tempura can be served to:
