Summer’s Sanctuary is an early-game spirit house that you’ll be instructed to build as Spiritfarer.
This unique building is also the home of Summer, a spirit that you’ll recruit early in the game.
How To Unlock
Before unlocking her sanctuary, you will first need to recruit Summer onto your boat. Here’s how:
Step 1: Head to Hummingberg and unlock Bounce Ability from the Shrine by exchanging two obols.
Step 2: Head right and use your Double Jump ability to reach the broken ladder with the houses at the top.
Step 3: Continue right until you find a small bench with a spirit by the sea. The spirit is Summer, and you can immediately recruit her by talking to her.
Step 4: Once on the ship, follow Summer’s questline until you defeat the Quartz Dragon via the “An Old Acquaintance” request.
After defeating the Quartz Dragon, Summer’s next request will be to build her a spirit house through the “Laying at the Ley Line” request. This automatically unlocks the Summer’s Sanctuary blueprints at your Blueprint Station.
Function
Once built, the sanctuary becomes Summer’s home – much like how every other spirit house is unique to their spirits.
Eventually, Summer will fall into a deep sleep inside her sanctuary. This unlocks the “A Cold and Dreamless Slumber” request, where you will need to install the HVAC system improvement on the sanctuary to wake her up.
Following Summer’s final goodbye in the Everdoor, you can start the Quartz, Aluminum, and Silver Dragon events by sailing to their locations and interacting with the door of her sanctuary.
Her spirit flower will also grow inside the house near her hanging bed.
