Thunder Wave Move Details

Thunder Wave
Type Electric
Power 0
Accuracy 100%
PP 20 (max. 32)
Effect Paralyzes the opposing Pokémon.

Thunder Wave simply paralyzes the opposing Pokémon.

Each turn, paralyzed Pokémon have a 25% chance of being unable to attack. A paralyzed Pokémon’s speed is also decreased by 75%.

This combination makes it a very annoying status condition to deal with, but also very a useful one to inflict onto an opponent.

Thunder Wave can really slow down and impair an opposing Pokémon. And paralysis also helps with catching Pokémon as well.
