Miso Soup is one of the dishes you can make in Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town. The best time to cook this dish would be in the Fall when you can grow some of the ingredients you need right on your farm!

Where To Learn the Recipe

Cooking inspiration is something that happens automatically as you make dishes with different ingredients. Once you’ve cooked with an ingredient a certain number of times, you can unlock a new recipe that uses the same item!

The farmer gets inspired to cook Miso Soup while in the kitchen.

To learn the recipe for Miso Soup, you need to cook with the following ingredients:

The quality of the ingredients you use can reduce the number of times you need to cook with that item. You can check the quality by looking at how many stars the ingredient has.

For each additional star that an ingredient has, the number of times you need to cook with it decreases by a factor of 1.

If a recipe states that you have to cook with Onion 10 times to unlock it, you can make any dish with 1-star Onions 10 times. But if you have 2-star Onions, you only need to cook with them 5 times. Likewise, 5-star Onions will unlock the recipe after only 2 uses.

The farmer catches a Medium Fish.

Equipment Needed

The equipment needed to make Miso Soup can be bought from Jeff at the General Store.

The downside is that Jeff sells his kitchen equipment one by one, in 10-day intervals after you buy the first of Gotts’ house remodeling upgrades.

This means that you can only access the next piece of equipment 10 days after the previous one becomes available for purchase.

Ingredients Needed

The crops you need to make Miso Soup grow in 2 different seasons: Summer and Autumn. So you can stock up on Onions in the Summer to cook Miso Soup next season, or save them in your fridge to make Miso Soup year-round!

How To Sell Miso Soup

Any dishes made in your kitchen can’t be shipped through Zack and the Shipping Bin. However, you can start selling food to Huang once you become friends with him at 4 friendship notes.

To sell a dish to Huang, stand in front of his counter while holding the item. Don’t interact directly with his sprite, as it will register as a gift instead.

Huang will then offer you a price, which you can actually reject for a chance at getting him to bid higher.

The price range for Miso Soup is anywhere between 80 G and 170 G. If Huang offers you 80 G for the item, for example, you can turn him down and try again to get a higher price.
