How Do You Find Shards?

You can find shards throughout the overworld by using Rock Smash on breakable rocks.

Shards can be found in four different colors:

  • Red Shard
  • Blue Shard
  • Green Shard
  • Yellow Shard

Shards don’t really have much of a use on their own in HeartGold and SoulSilver, but they can be traded to the Berry Jugglers for different kinds of berries.

Each Juggler will trade you three different berries in exchange for a single shard.

The berries you get depend on the color of the shard you offer.
