How To Get the S.S. Ticket in Pokémon ORAS

You will automatically receive the S.S. Ticket from Norman once you clear the Delta Episode. This is an unmissable event in the post-game, so you’ll get this ticket just by working through the game’s storyline.

The S.S. Ticket will give you access to the Battle Resort in Hoenn.

Obtaining the S.S. Ticket (Step-by-Step)

In order to complete the Delta Episode, you must gain access to the Sky Pillar.

The Sky Pillar becomes available once you’ve cleared the following requirements:

Visited the Aqua Hideout (AS)/Magma Hideout (OR)
Talked to Steven in the Mossdeep Space Center
Talked to Wallace in Sootopolis City

After you complete those prerequisites, here’s what to do:

Step 1: Fly over to Route 131

Step 2: After landing on Route 131, walk to the west of the sign board and use Surf.

Step 3: Keep surfing to the west a bit, then turn north and continue past the narrow path.

Step 4: Continue surfing to the north and head past the rocks.

Step 5: Keep surfing to the north until you reach the cave leading to the Sky Pillar.

Step 6: Once you disembark on land, walk towards Wallace. He will then challenge you to a battle.

Wallace’s team has six Water-type Pokémon, with levels ranging from 55 to 57.

Step 7: After defeating Wallace, head inside the cave. Continue forward and walk up the stairs.

Step 8: Once you climb the stairs, continue to the bottom-right and exit the cave.

Step 9: After exiting the cave, turn left and then continue towards the Sky Pillar at the edge of the seaside cliff ahead.

Step 10: Inside the Sky Pillar, walk a short distance forward and you will run into Zinnia.

Step 11: After Zinnia leaves, climb up the ladder to the next floor.

Step 12: On the next floor, walk to the left side.

Step 13: Continue to the bottom-left of the room and you will run into Zinnia again.

Step 14: After Zinnia leaves, climb up the ladder here and continue to the next floor.

Step 15: On the next floor, walk to the right and you will run into Zinnia for the third time.

Step 16: Once Zinnia leaves, walk up the nearby ladder to the next floor.

Step 17: After climbing up the ladder, continue to the top-left corner of the room.

Step 18: Once you reach the top-left corner you’ll want to turn and continue following this path, now going towards the bottom-left of this area.

Step 19: Keep heading to the bottom-left corner and you will run into Zinnia for the fourth time.

Step 20: After Zinnia leaves, climb up the ladder.

Step 21: On the final floor, head to the bottom-right corner of the room.

Step 22: Keep heading to the bottom-right of the room and you will run into Zinnia again.

Step 23: After Zinnia leaves, walk to the left and climb up the ladder here to reach the roof.

Step 24: A long cutscene will play once you reach the rooftop. Rayquaza will appear at the end of the cutscene.

Tip: Make sure you have enough PokéBalls, as you will battle two legendary Pokémon consecutively. Save the game before proceeding.

Step 25: Once the cutscene ends, walk up to Rayquaza and interact with it to start the battle.

Keep in mind that you must capture Rayquaza and add it to your party in order to advance the story. If you knock Rayquaza out, you will be able to challenge it again.

Step 26: The game proceeds automatically from this point on. After you capture Rayquaza, Zinnia will challenge you to a battle.

Her team consists of four level 60 Dragon-type Pokémon and a level 62 Mega Salamence.

Note: Your team will be automatically healed before the battle.

Step 27: After you defeat Zinnia, a long cutscene will play. Once the cutscene ends, Deoxys will appear and challenge you to a battle.

Note: Unlike Rayquaza, Deoxys is a one-time encounter. So if you defeat it then you will need to reset the game to battle it again.

Step 28: A long sequence of cutscenes will play after you either capture or defeat Deoxys.

You will then return to your house in Littleroot Town. From here, head downstairs.

Step 29: The game will proceed automatically from this point and Norman will give you the S.S. Ticket. You will also obtain one of the three Johto starters from Professor Birch.

What Does the S.S. Ticket Do?

The S.S. Ticket will allow you to visit the Battle Resort.

You can board the S.S. Tidal in either Slateport City or Lilycove City, as they both have a port area. Just head to either port and choose the Battle Resort as the destination.
