You can get a Hard Stone from Arthur, one of the Week Siblings.

Arthur hangs out a few steps north of the Ruins of Alph entrance. You’ll find him standing on Route 36 every Thursday.

Getting the Hard Stone (Thursday Only)

Start at the PokéMart in Violet City and head northwest into Route 36.

Keep following the road as it turns left, and you’ll soon come across Arthur. He’s walking around the area north of the Ruins of Alph entrance.

Talk to him to get the Hard Stone.

Hard Stone Uses

The Hard Stone is a held item that increases the Power of Rock-type attacks like Ancient Power or Rock Slide by 10%.

Many powerful Rock-type Pokémon would benefit from the Hard Stone. Tyranitar, Aerodactyl, and Golem are prime candidates to hold it.
