Where To Get TM93 Wild Charge in Pokémon ORAS

TM93 Wild Charge can be found in the northeast section of the Safari Zone. To reach the TM’s exact location you’ll need a Pokémon with Surf, and you’ll need both bikes (Mach and Acro).

Because you can only get both bikes after finishing the Delta Episode, you can only get this TM in the post-game. So you won’t be able to get this TM when the Safari Zone first becomes available.

TM93 Wild Charge Location (Step-by-Step)

You can access the Safari Zone through the north side of Route 121, which is right near Lilycove City.

Note: While you can access the Safari Zone shortly after defeating the sixth Gym, you won’t be able to obtain the TM for Wild Charge until you’ve completed the Delta Episode. This is because one of the requirements for obtaining both bikes is to speak with an NPC in Battle Resort, which is only unlocked after completing the Delta Episode.

So here are all the prerequisites you’ll need first before getting TM93:

  • Complete the Delta Episode, which is a story exclusive to ORAS that becomes available after you become the Champion
  • Get both the Mach Bike and the Acro Bike
  • Bring a Pokémon with HM01 Cut (Optional)
  • Bring a Pokémon with HM03 Surf

When you’re ready, fly to Route 121.

Step 1: Begin following the path to the east from the Route sign.

Step 2: Continue going east, passing by two trainers.

Step 3: Eventually you’ll see a prickly tree that can be cut down with HM01 Cut.

If you have Cut, use it and enter the Safari Zone building on the right. If you don’t have Cut, you can go around the tree by following the path to the south.

Step 4: Once you’re inside the building, exit through the backside in the top-left corner.

Step 9: Follow the path up and veer towards the left a bit, still going north. You’ll pass by another muddy slope.

Step 10: Once you go all the way north, you’ll reach a body of water to your right.

Use HM03 Surf to cross over to the other side at the very northern part of this pond. It should bring you onto a small little strip of land – keep going east here.

Step 11: Eventually you’ll reach another muddy slope at the end of the path.

Ride your Mach Bike to go up the muddy slope here, then at the top of the slope you can head south.

Step 12: Move south and around until you see a small mountainside with little stumps (pictured below).

With your Acro Bike, climb up the wooden stump on the right-hand side with a bunny hop. You can do this by holding the B button for more than two seconds, then you can use the D-Pad/Control Pad to move around.

Step 13: Once you’ve climbed up the small stump, you should see the TM for Wild Charge on the ground.

Wild Charge is the physical equivalent of Thunderbolt.

However, unlike Thunderbolt, Wild Charge’s decent base power comes at the cost of some recoil damage. It also cannot inflict paralysis.

The recoil from Wild Charge is particularly unfortunate because Physical Electric-types are essentially forced to use it as a STAB (Same-type Attack Bonus) move. This is because Thunder Punch, the only other widely available Physical Electric-type move, has a mediocre base power.

Nevertheless, Wild Charge can still be a good coverage move for other non-Electric-type Pokémon that can learn it. It’s just unfortunate that this is only accessible in the OR/AS post-game.

Tip: The ability Reckless boosts the power of recoil moves by 20%. This means that Wild Charge, a recoil move, can be particularly deadly when used by Pokémon with this ability, such as Emboar and Bouffalant.
