The only way to obtain Lava Cookies in Pokémon Platinum is by purchasing them at the Department Store in Veilstone City.

You’ll find the Lava Cookie seller behind the counter in the southeastern corner of the basement floor, and she will sell them to you for P200 per Cookie.

Acquiring Lava Cookies

You can start purchasing Lava Cookies from the Department Store from the first time you visit Veilstone City.

Lava Cookies are some of the most useful medicines available at this point in the game, so it would benefit you to stock up on a few.

To find the Lava Cookie seller, begin by heading north from the Veilstone City Pokémon Center.

Enter the massive pink and orange building to your left—this is the Veilstone Department Store.

Once you’re inside, ride down the escalator to reach the produce section in the basement.

You’ll find the Lava Cookie seller behind the counter in the southeast corner of the room.

Speak to her and she will sell you Lava Cookies for 200 each, or 10 for 2,000.

Lava Cookie Details and Uses

Lava Cookies are the signature dish from the Hoenn’s volcanic Lavaridge Town. First introduced in Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, Lava Cookies will cure a Pokémon of any negative status condition.

These status problems include:

  • Poison
  • Paralysis
  • Sleep
  • Burn
  • Freeze
  • Confusion

Lava Cookies have the same effect as Full Heals. The difference between them is that Full Heals cost P600 each, while Lava Cookies are a mere third of the cost at P200.

Stocking up on Lava Cookies and Moomoo Milks is an excellent way to save a ton of money that would normally go to the overpriced medicines from the Poké Mart.
