The easiest (and earliest) method of getting Moomoo Milk is by purchasing it straight from the Café Cabin on Route 210, where they cost P500 per bottle.
You can also acquire an unlimited number of them for free—but not until far later in the game when you have the Poké Radar, at which point you might be too rich for it to be worth your time.
Acquiring Moomoo Milk
There are two ways to acquire Moomoo Milk, and both methods are accomplished in the same general area of Route 210.
Method 1: The Café Cabin
The Café Cabin on Route 210 sells Moomoo Milk—in fact, it’s the only thing it offers.
The Café is located directly north of Solaceon Town. If you’re starting from the Solaceon Town Pokémon Center, head north along the town’s central dirt road.
Leave Solaceon Town for Route 210. You can use your Bicycle in fourth gear to make it up the muddy slopes for faster traveling.
Keep heading straight northward to reach the Café Cabin.
Inside the Café, speak to the cashier behind the counter.
As previously mentioned, Moomoo Milk is the only item on the Café’s menu.
You’ll be given the option to buy one bottle for P500 or a dozen bottles for P6,000.
It’s a good idea to stock up on several bottles as soon as you reach the Cafe, as Moomoo Milk will prove to be one of the most potent and cost-effective medicines for much of the game.
Method 2: Wild Miltank (Repeatable)
If you don’t feel like spending P500 a pop for Moomoo Milks, you can steal them from wild Miltank on Route 210.
Farming Moomoo Milks this way is a fairly easy process, since every wild Miltank is guaranteed to be carrying one in its held item slot.
However, you won’t be able to do this until you’re in possession of the Poké Radar—which you don’t get until after you beat the game and enter the Hall of Fame—and you likely won’t have much use for free Moomoo Milks at this point in the game unless you’re severely hard up for cash.
Miltank are only found in the northern areas of Route 210, where the grass is shorter (you can’t use the Poké Radar in taller grass).
Head north from the Café Cabin and you’ll find a good spot before long.
Once you’re in a decent-sized field, use the Poké Radar from the Bag.
Watch for rustling patches in the grass and step onto one of them.
Keep in mind that Miltank are a pretty uncommon species, with just an 11% encounter rate. It may take a while to run into one.
Once you’ve found a Miltank, either catch it or use a stealing move (like Thief or Trick) to take the Moomoo Milk.
Moomoo Milk Details and Uses
Moomoo Milk is a medicine that replenishes 100 hit points, making it comparable to two Super Potions.
This is an excellent item to stock up on early in the game, when money can be tight. Super Potions cost P700 each—compared to Moomoo Milks’ unit price of P500—so using two Super Potions to replenish the same amount of HP as one Moomoo milk would be P900 more expensive.
Even Hyper Potions are usually a worse deal than Moomoo Milks. Hyper Potions restore 200 HP but cost P1200 each, so using two Moomoo Milks instead would save you P200.
Moomoo Milks aren’t always convenient in battle (especially later in the game), but it’s a good money-conscious move to keep them handy.
